Uhhh.... hi, I guess.

Ahh, books. My wonderful escapade. People tell me "Get a life." But I experience plenty of lives. Books let me feel that. Is it so bad to live somebody else's life instead of mine every once in a while?

Macarthur

Macarthur - Bob Ong Isa ito sa mga pinakamagandang pagkasulat na libro ni Bob Ong. Ipinapakita nito ang tunay na kulay ng kahirapan sa Pilipinas na nilagyan ng kabalintunaang "humor".

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - Patrick Süskind , John E. Woods So I actually watched the film before I read the book. So far, I think it was pretty accurate, except with some parts like the cave scene, the after cave scene, and I think those details were ok to be deleted in the film. But what I preferred more with the book is how I understood the protagonist's point of view more. I love how it's emphasized that having any scent, he knows nothing about his existence, and that's what made me feel so sorry for him. So yeah, go read the book because it's awesome and amazingly disturbing and artistic in every way. :)

Eyes Like Stars

Eyes Like Stars (Theatre Illuminata, #1) - Lisa Mantchev This is one of the books where you'll learn to love the characters more than the plot. It's about Bertie who lives in a theatre, but because she's a rebellious soul who kind of causes too much accidents, she was threatened to leave the place that she calls home. Bertie is such a free soul and nothing binds her to any rules. I like that about her. Even though she messes up a lot of things because of her selfishness, she pays it back anyway, more than what's needed. I especially adored her little fairy friends. They were the one who made me laugh and smile a lot as I read the book. Also, Nate the pirate, is hot. And he looks after Bertie a lot. So far it's a good read. I recommend it. ;)

The Demon's Surrender (Demon's Lexicon)

The Demon's Surrender - Sarah Rees Brennan Very good finale for this action trilogy! The pace was fast, as I preferred, and no dead-air as usual. Twists are good, although I think the twists in book 1 was the best, but still good enough. And my favorite part is that the point of view is from Sin. Awesome character, and a fresh read from a new character. 2 thumbs up. :)

This Lullaby

This Lullaby - Sarah Dessen My favorite book of Sarah Dessen, and it's also the first book of hers that I've read! Remy is someone who is not ready for commitment because of the way she saw the failure of her mom's 5 marriages. But her world turned upside-down when she met Dexter, a rock band musician who is opposite of Remy in every way. I love this book because of the rich characters that Dessen has created. I especially adored Dexter and I completely fell for his charms. Dexter makes so much sense is a very nonsense way. Great book and wonderful character development. :)

Stargirl (Readers Circle)

Stargirl (Readers Circle) - Jerry Spinelli One of the best character I've ever read. Stargirl is everything we've forgotten to be.

Love, Stargirl

Love, Stargirl - Jerry Spinelli This is the book that will make you laugh and cry as it shows Stargirl's perspective with how she's coping up with her broken heart.
